The atmosphere is amazing here. When I walk up the stair I didn’t know there’s a patio in the back. Great view and wonderful food. The fish is fresh especially the Uni is soooo sweet. 100% recommendation!! They have a super nice bar as well. Service here is fast, staff is knowledgeable about their menu and make good recommendations.

Sashimi is lovely and fresh, I especially liked the seared salmon belly. Also ordered the unadon, but I’m not convinced it is simply a packaged product that had been heated as many Japanese restaurants will do. Interior is super cool due to it being located in the SIXTY hotel.

My boyfriend and I had a reservation for 9PM. We get a text from the restaurant at 8:40 that our table was ready so we get there 10 minutes later to find that the table is in fact NOT ready. We waited for 20 minutes to get our actual table and had to rush in ordering and eating since we need to get out of there at 10PM according to NYC Covid regulations. So not only did they falsely tell us to come early but also made us wait for 20 minutes. Very very rude. As for the food, everything was utterly disappointing. The miso cod was chewy and overcooked, with barely any miso flavor. The pork dumplings were too salty, practically inedible. The unadon was TERRIBLE. Cold eel, it was actually disgusting. The sushi was not fresh, and super sticky. They were sticking to the paper underneath and falling apart. We didn't even finish our food despite their small portions. The fried chicken was the only good thing. We were so disappointed that we ordered the check at 9:30. We couldn't take it anymore. We paid and spoke to the manager afterwards who just said that \yes he apologizes and anticipated this because it's a busy night.\ Well not our problem! Our total was almost 200, each of us paying a 100 bucks for absolute trash. After we left we walked down the street to Katz and split a 20 pastrami sandwich and that was better than that blue ribbon meal. I was always a frequent customer, but never again will I set foot in that place, for terrible service and hospitality, and even more terrible food. Never again. PS. I want my money back.

came here a few times a couple years ago and was always impressed. last night had a reservation for 9pm we got a text to come 10 minutes earlier so we arrived early. they werent able to seat us until 9:10pm when the restaurant has to close early due to corona restrictions at 10pm. they wouldnt tell the people already seated at our table to leave in an attempt to not be rude or rush them (as they were already over their 2 hour allotted seating time) coincidentally being rude to us by only allowing 50 minutes to enjoy dinner. they offered no compensation of a drink or anything while we waited 20 minutes for the customers before us to finish their conversation. food was a massive disappointment, black cod was chewy and flavorless, shumai pork dumplings were way too salty, unadon was cold and old tasting, and the sushi was mushy and not fresh. overall would def not come back as this place has gone down the dumps, and the service and hospitality is better at mt sinai covid testing centers waiting 6 hours for a test (which is somehow a more enjoyable experience than coming to blue ribbon sushi izakaya)

Honestly the best Japanese food I’ve ever had, so fresh and so yummy ! We ordered a lot of food and I can’t picked which one was my favorite ! It kind of pricy , but for special occasion definitely worth it. The place itself is so nice and clean and everyone is so professional . I’ll definitely go back !
