Amazing service and very warm and welcoming staff. Both the owners started a conversation with our table that didn't feel forced. It was such a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend this place for any occasion. Very good good as well! Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere

I walk in out of the rain, soaked, likely looking disheveled and carrying a bag from some errands I had just run.... and they treated me like family. This hidden gem has great owners and staff. I felt like I was a regular and it was my first time. Did I mention the food? I ordered the duck and about fell out of my chair after the first bite. It was as good as similar fair I've had at five star restaurants. The Creme brûlée followed suit. Go here soon!
What a fun and delicious restaurant. We go there whenever we are in Boston. Everything is delicious from the scallops, New England Clam Chowder, salads to the main dinners. The butterscotch sundae is wonderful.
Fantastic service! I usually like to dine at fancy places and this had the atmosphere of being kind of "fancy" as well as the prices of such a place. However I found the food to be sub-par and not worth the price I paid. Also, this place seemed to attract an older crowd, which was fine, and the servers were definitely enthusiastic to see a young group come in for food. I don't think they get a young crowd often.
We went out to the Center Cafe for Valentines Day. The owners were friendly but it felt as if the staff ignored my date and I. For most of the night, we sat in the corner while some staff would attend to other patrons - ones they knew well. Our cups remained empty, while most of the patron had carafes filled with water. Some staff would not make eye contact while handing the menu. The food was decent, wine and drinks were fair but I'm not a fan of the service. And after tonight, I don't think we will be returning.
I was introduced to The Center Cafe by friends at work about a year ago, and I've now been 3 times. The place rocks, it really does. I'm not going to wax on about the food and wine selection, because as good as it is, it isn't what makes this place. It's the people that run it. They're kind of like the big warm huggy Italian family from a TV commercial that you wished you had. If you're in the area, don't bother hunting around for alternatives. Just go there and enjoy the experience. You might find yourself there until closing.
Great service from the fun and attentive owners with a spectacular burger. The owner paired our meals with a perfect and affordable bottle of wine. Look forward to returning to this gem.
