Slovenian natural history and national museum is a hidden gem with amazing collections from the natural and cultural history of Slovenian territory. Among them the incredible Zois mineral collection and the oldest musical instrument in the world...the Neanderthal bone flute.

Many interesting and rich collections of history and nature typical for this area. I recommend a visit to this museum.
Practically everything is written in both Slovenian and English. I was pleasantly surprised about the fact that every artifact is labelled - something I always miss in other museums. By doing that, even all the stone plates on the ground floor become interesting. Lots of kids corners, nice selection of animals ... don't have a single complaint.
Simple yet effective museum, it has different exhibitions about fishes, birds, the typical animals of Slovenia and even about plants. Very very cheap, you can spend here the all afternoon with less than 5 euros.
There's not really that much interesting things to see (in my opinion), except a mammoth skeleton, some fosils.. It is cheap tho..
Must be seen. Family location. Slovenian wild animal with mixture of cultural heritage.
Nice but small. Worth the 8 for a family ticket.
Not a fan of stuffed animals which this museum is full of. Also lots of things are plain wrong, don't teach people false facts.
