Wonderful, comprehensive museum of typical Lithuanian life in times gone by. Great care was taken to depict everyday life in times gone by and show the care and decoration of the everyday objects in the unique Lithuanian handcraft style. A must on your places to visit in Vilinus!

I had much higher expectations from this one, the only thing I remember after just a few days since I visited is the reconstruction of the Grunwald Battle. Most of the curation was done decades ago and not much has been done in terms of updating the info although there are enough descriptions in English for the history buffs
We went there with student tickets so it costs only 1.5 euros. I would say it worth the price, the exhibitions are nice and in the top of the building is the view tower from where you can get a nice and close view for the city and the red tower, because we couldn’t make to the red tower due to the reconstruction. Remember to take elevator to the view tower, otherwise there are quite many stairs.
Love this museum. Nice collection. It’s not so big but got plenty of stuff. Tickets about 3 for adult and kids free. They have got musical instruments, maps of old Lithuania, clothes used to wear and different areas of Lithuania and much more. Must visit if you like history.
A nice museum, a little bit with exhibitions a little too outdated. Employees do not know English, and sometimes they are screaming if you fit too hard on thick glass windows.
I really enjoyed this museum. Don't miss the kiosk on the 2nd floor with the mini videos on .....the cultures of Vilnius, Napolean's 19 days, the 1863 uprising etc. English captions. Most exhibits had English text available. Some interesting items from burial grounds. Traditional regional Lithuanian dress exhibit was interesting, as was the exhibit on Lithuanian attitude towards crosses.
A very interesting museum! And only 1,5 euros for students!
It was just a quick visit up the funicular railway to the tower to look down on most of Vilnius. Just 1 to take the railway but then 4 to go up the tower. Great view and probably lots of interesting things in the museum, just didn't have the time. Very worth a visit even if just for the view.
