100% recommend this place! My husband and I have a one year old German Shepherd who had been very difficult to work with...that is until we started training here. We did the three week board and training package, with Matt as our trainer. Matt listened to our concerns, and tailored the training to address them. Once seeing our dog again after the three weeks of boarding, it was like he was a new dog! We still have a few group classes to go, but every time we have had a training session so far, I can't stop smiling and beaming about how much our dog's behavior has improved...it's amazing!! Also, It is so clear that every employee here knows what they are talking about, and I appreciate and trust every bit of advice they have given us. Mountain State has been such an amazing experience, I would not go anywhere else!

My wife and I took our 2-year-old German Shepherd/Akita (Breck) here for a 3 week training. He's not a bad dog, just has high anxiety, didn't really listen to us, and did not like most other dogs, especially in his immediate vicinity. After his first 2 weeks, we took him home for the weekend and already noticed a big difference. We just took him home for good and he is a completely different dog. This place sets your dog up for success, and also us as owners as we still have 2 individual trainings with our trainer, and 8 group sessions. The trainers seem like they genuinely love the dogs and want them to succeed. They give us homework to continue the training and he is definitely responding. In 3 weeks, our boy is learning to actually listen to us, take our commands, and really just seems happier and less anxious. We still have a ways to go, but we are so grateful to have found this place, it has truly been a godsend. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs some help with discipline.

This place was a game changer! We had tried other trainers and just didn’t seem to get anywhere with our two reactive/excited dogs. We did the 3 week board and train and I couldn’t believe how much calmer and happier my dogs were once we brought them home. I never ever thought I could have my dog lay down in a room with 8 other dogs!! I can take them anywhere and it has made our relationship with them more positive and enjoyable. Having a trained dog is a commitment and a lot of hard work and consistency. Their programs include continued support with training and group sessions. When we arrive they all greet us so nicely and know our dogs in and out! Highly recommend. The only thing I wish is that they offered off-site group sessions. Our dogs behave much better at “school” than out and about but we are working on it. Thank you mountain state k9!

Took care of my boy when I was pretty desperate. Long story short my doggie was out of a foster until I could adopt him. They agreed to kennel him until I got back into the country. They even gave me a prorated cost as it was through the rescue. I am so grateful to them and everything they’ve done. Would recommend them to anyone. They are passionate about what they do and do it extremely well.

MSK9 is by far the best everything from the staff to the environment. We just finished one of the trainings for our Mr MAX and we will definitely be going back for more. Our Doberman went in not listening to anything we said to now obeying us like no other.
