The worst surgery. The doctors do not know what they're talking about and trying to get a call back is the real mission impossible.

Booked in to get a flu jab. When I arrived for my appointnent at 2pm with the nurse, was told its for over 65's. Would have done with them telling me over the phone instead of wasting my time to take time off work to go there. Someone else could have had that slot, besides that, the Nurse looked really, really miserable. Won't be attend Moor walk again, don't like the vibe, life is not that bad.

No problems with the medical side - very poor admin. Absolutely no problem with the medical side but, the administration leaves a lot to be desired; I am a user of electronic prescription and, I nominated the local Boots to fulfill my prescriptions. Normally, I take two months supply with each prescription but, Boots have been negligent in my supply of medication - doubling up my orders. By inference, somebody in the admin department at Moors Walk Surgery is approving these duplicate prescriptions - this is clearly a breach of duty of care! Despite raising this matter with Boots and the surgery, Boots & the surgery continue to be problematic in the provision of reliable prescriptions. However, I have had enough of Boots and will soon adopt an online pharmacy - which I cannot with my surgery!

I really don’t understand all the negative reviews of all the surgeries in this group. Lots of the reviews are from people complaining that you can’t get an appointment here? Get a grip people, you are living in the most densely populated area of an over populated country and this surgery like most other surgeries and services is oversubscribed– it’s a fact of life. So many people seem to waste doctor’s time with missed appointments and minor issues. Because of this they give appointments based on priority and it makes sense to give telephone appointments where it is not necessary to have a physical examination. You will get an appointment at any practice within the group that has availability. Unfortunately I’ve had a lot of health issues recently so am in contact with the Doctor regularly. When I found a lump I called to book an appointment and got a call back a few hours later from a doctor, she invited me for an appointment within 2 hours. The doctor examined me and thought that it was probably nothing to worry about but referred me for a scan to be sure. I had the scan within 2 weeks. Two days after my scan I came out of a work meeting to numerous missed calls and voicemails from the doctor telling me to go to QE2 or Lister hospital asap for bloods. This really impressed me they literally wouldn’t give up calling me. The service I have had ever since has been just as good. The only one thing that I would change is to really highlight the appointment “checking in terminals” at all the surgeries to reduce the queues at the reception desks for people that really need to speak to the receptionist.

The appointment system is still a shambles......you can never ever get an appointment! It's easier and quicker to go to minor injuries at the QE2. I will be changing doctors as well....they get paid for looking after me - unbeliavable!
