An artist can be found here, following the steps of the great Vincent van Gogh. Exhibition of his work, a glimpse in the life of his time, and a nice afternoon walk.

What a privilege to be able to visit this incredible place. Walking to the monastery from the lovely town of St Remy de Povence is itself a treat and you really feel that you are walking in history. It's easy to image Vincent walking these paths, and standing by the olive grove where he actually sat and painted sends tingles down your spine. The monastery itself is beautiful. It is a tranquil and peacful oasis with beautifully tended grounds. A fitting memorial to it's most famous patient. You are able to visit the room where Vincent stayed, look out from his window and visit the cloister that he painted. A magical experience that you should not miss if you are in the area.

Worth a visit if you are in the area. There are some explanations of the building and Van Gogh’s life but it can be seen in 45 mins.

Lovely walk around the gardens and grounds of the monastery, with prints and descriptions of some of Van Gogh's works during his time here. Quite impactful when you see his room and read into the treatments of the time, and the impact this place had on Van Gogh and his work. We didn't do the audio tour but I think it would add even more context.

I enjoyed a lovely day here. I walked from At Remy, following the Vincent markers and reading the information boards. The entrance fee was 5, plus an additional small charge for the commentary speaker (I didn't opt for this, and probably should have). There are lots of information panels around the buildings and grounds, and a lovely gift shop.

To see the place where Vincent van Gogh spent a number of his creative years, surrounded by the natural environment that he painted - and in that special Provençal daylight - significantly helps the visitor better understand his work.

Absolutely worth a visit. Really interesting and wonderful for a walk. If you're there, it's recommend to take a walk around the monastery as well. There's lovely scenic views and many fields of olive trees!
