After contacting several companies requesting a quote, with no response, I was recommended MK Fireplaces by a friend. After contacting MK Fireplaces I arranged for a survey and quote which was completed promptly. Installation was arranged with a lead time of about 6 weeks and Mark and Joe worked hard to complete the installation in a professional manner which involved a lot of work to remove the old gas installation and dig an opening for the new burner. The installation also required fitting of a heavy wooden beam which required additional work to ensure the job was completed safely. I am very happy with the final result and can say that Mark & Joe will go beyond what would normally be expected to ensure a good job, this was demonstrated when I needed the burner removing to allow for decoration, which was completed quickly around other commitments. Happy to recommend MK Fireplaces!

Fantastic service, fantastic product and a genuinely fantastic company! We have just moved into an older property and have had a brick fireplace removed and a wood burning stove installed to replace it, by MK Fireplaces. Mark and his team were absolutely amazing from the first time we made contact with them. Quick and efficient quote and great advice from Mark who made some great recommendations for us, which we went with. There were also some unexpected surprises along the way as our property is old, but Mark and his team overcame them all. Mark and Joe removed our old fireplace with minimal fuss and were amazingly clean and tidy. They then installed an amazing stove for us, which is beautiful. It’s the stand out feature of our lounge. Genuinely can’t speak highly enough of Mark and his boys, a fantastic friendly service and highly recommended.
What an amazing professional team. Mark and his team are a real pleasure to use. They have put in 2 wood burning stoves for us over the last few years and you would never find a more professional team. Their work is outstanding. We have been thrilled with their work. Marks communication right from the first call is excellent. The care they give with installation is top rate. On both occasions the house was left beautifully no dust anywhere. The team are a joy to have in your home. After care with the chimney sweeps all done in a very professional tidy manner. My husband and I couldn’t rate mark and his team any higher . I contacted MK Fireplaces in August to discuss installing a wood burning stove in my 1930's ex-council property that I had just completed my purchase of. Mark assessed the area and removed the old marble fireplace and hearth to discover the concrete lintel was missing and my chimney breast was sagging. He cordoned off the room and told me he'd return the next day to repair as a matter of urgency. He did. On 03/10/2018 Mark and his team arrived and installed my log burner with Welsh slate hearth and fire-boarded the rest of the fireplace to make it look tidy. Due to health matters Mark couldn't return until a few months ago to install the reclaimed wood mantle. I was very understanding having had some of the same health issues myself. It looks wonderful and I would happily recommend Mark and the team to anyone who asks about my lovely fire. They're friendly, informative and were pleasant to be around. They also get along great with children. They lose a star purely because of timeframe, however the service and communication was really good.
Mark and his team installed a stove at my son's house and did such a great job. Cleaned up after themselves each night as took a couple of days, and the finished product looks great. Very neat and tidy and very pleased! Highly recommended
