I visit the museum end of April 2018. Good: - Welcoming staff. - Very polite curators and we can actually talk and discuss the topics in the museum. - A place with a lot of history, where you can learn a lot. - A very good place where you can spend a few hours and learn something new. Bad: - a little bit hidden place to find. - I am not sure if there is a disabled access. Will I visit it again - yes.

Friendly welcome and a solid selection of books on race available to purchase.

I was really impressed by the migration museum, because I find it's far to easy for curators to be shaped by their prior disposition to migration. It was fairly balanced, and managed to present the migrant voice without necessarily descending into propaganda. Everything that it put was accurate, and the extra exhibit where you "walked a mile" in a migrants shoes was a great touch. It could be improved by explicitly addressing what people believe to be the downsides of some migration, but overall, was really good.

An amazing experience to help put you in the shoes of those that came to live here leaving their country of birth. It really makes you think and appreciate what they went through, how difficult life was and is for them and helps us appreciate and understand the many struggles they are faced with. It makes you realise just how hard it is for them to try and settle here and become accepted. We all need a room to breath and a place to feel safe. This museum helps you appreciate just how much the struggle has been for so many, their stories are fascinating, some heartbreaking and all of them real experiences that make you think of life and how some of us are towards other people born in different places. The experience warms your heart, helps you to think differently and emphasises just how important little acts of kindness can be, making a world of difference to those that are struggling to make a new place their home. It is very well thought out and put together and certainly worth a visit.

The experience was intriguing. For such a small place there was quite a few interactive elements..

Great museum with a moving portrayal of human movement across Britain throughout history. I would highly recommend this museum and the stories it holds is particularly relevant in the present changing world migration. Support them and help this museum find a permanent home.
