Great Customer service from the people that sell the tickets, to the conductors on the train, to the guys who drive the buses from the last stop to South Bend. Five stars for sure

Avoid car 23, it has water damage and is moldy. It was making my nose run. I have been riding this railroad for 18 years and the service has slowly been getting worse. Damage to cars as shown in the photo, breakdowns and running late but they are finally fixing some of the air conditioning. Car 27 has decent air.
Growing up in Michigan City, we were very lucky to have the opportunity to hop on the South Shore train and be in downtown Chicago in less than two hours. As an adult now, I love being able to give my daughter the same experience. For less than 10 to not have to deal with the stress of driving into the city and traffic it is completely worth it. Never mind not having to pay the expensive cost of parking downtown. I’m very thankful that we have the train.
Efficient train service for Chicago and northern Indiana. Prices are fair and employees are nice. The stops are a little run down.
Always an interesting ride every time I've rode the train especially during baseball season
