We retained Master Edge Homes to do a whole home renovation in 2018. During the contractor selection process, Dwayne’s open and honest approach instilled trust and confidence in us immediately. He really took the worry of a big renovation off our shoulders, handing the details, scheduling and managing things smoothly. Even when the inevitable surprises arose (e.g. original builder had not installed a load bearing beam, material delays, we added additional work, etc), the project finished under budget and within a week of the scheduled completion date. We absolutely love our renovation. People who see it comment on the quality of the work that was done. Dwayne’s commitment didn’t end with the job. He continues to stand behind his work, even after the renovation is done. We had a faulty drain and some water damage, he took care of it. We will be calling Master Edge for any future work and have no reservations referring him to our close friends and family.

Dwayne, Jason and crew built an extension for our home that we absolutely love. Quality of workmanship was excellent. When challenges arose with the existing structure the team made the necessary changes to keep the structural integrity of the old and new sections while keeping everything on schedule. When the next project comes along we will be giving Master Edge a call!

The biggest issues for a homeowner when doing a renovation is whether the renovation will be completed on time, whether will it be within the budget, and whether the crew working on your home will be rude and hard to work with. Like most homeowners I expected some delays, and things to be actually more expensive than in the estimate. I was hoping to not have to deal with unpleasant construction guys. The best thing with working with Dwayne, Jason and their team was that none of those negative things happened. Everyone we talked to found it hard to believe that the renovation was finished exactly right on schedule (and this was a 6 month renovation). It actually felt odd having a contractor pushing us to stick to timelines, rather than the other way around. And there were no cost overruns. I was surprised to see statements that told us how we had saved some money. Dwayne is very transparent. It was the only time in my life working with a contractor where I didn't spend a single night awake worrying about some looming cost problem. We had a very fixed budget, so cost issues would have really upset us. Finally, the people Dwayne hires are extremely polite and pleasant. Jason was great to work with. He was always positive and professional, and we really enjoyed going over to see and chat with him about how the construction was coming along. And he did a great job managing all of the subcontractors. If there was anybody on his team who was difficult we never knew about it. We recently had Dwayne's guys in to do a minor job, and the two people he sent over were just the most considerate people you could get. At this point I can't see ourselves using another contractor if we need any work done.
