The first thing you should know is, it is a place for the bird lovers. It is kind of a deserted place. Many people don't know about it. But once you know and you have interest in birds, you will come again. This place is close to the Vedanthangal bird sanctuary. There are not many birds in here but you will find some rare species ( if you are lucky ) which you can't see in other places. What you can expect to spot there are parakeets, orioles, common hoopoes, spotted owlets, oriental darters, pond herons and Indian paradise flycatchers. Other than that various butterflies and snakes are there. (P.S.Paradise flycatchers' photos and videos were taken by my husband.)

The lake has completely dried up. But since this is summer maybe it's seasonal. But the pathway surrounding the lake is pretty intact. Though the cement decorations have deteriorated over time, they still haven't turned into an eyesore. Overall a nice place to spend time of you pick your own lunch and drinks. You can easily sit there and read a book in the shade. A tip would be to come in the afternoon after maybe around 3 to avoid the sun in the morning.

Good bird sanctuary without crowd! But nice walking path and places to rest! Be carefull with regards to the watch tower which is in worst condition! Mainly for ducks!
