I went to this school and it seemed fine for awhile but now that I have graduated I can reflect and see how the administration was not ideal. I only have had about three teachers in my time there that care about the students they had, both academically and emotionally. Ever since I have graduated there have been multiple suicides from one graduate and one who was still a student. It’s disgusting that they know bad behavior happens on their campus and don’t do much about it besides make announcements on the intercoms being “treat others nicely and be a friend”. That announcement that is very subtle and is not going to save lives. Doing more than your job entitlement and actually, genuinely, caring about the students well-being is going to be what helps. I have had my own horrible experiences at this school. One cauing me a bad anxiety attack and forcing me to go home. While I was in this attack, the staff told me I was over dramatic and to “shutup”. Treat your students the way you want to be treated. Even though this school is on the safer side (not morally) of public schools in St. Tammany, I would recommend sending your child somewhere else.

In all honesty it's one of the worst schools i've ever went too. This entire school is full of allot of kids who do some major drugs and drink on the weekends by what i've heard and seen. I never knew what weed looked like until I got to this school, I was happy to go to this school but in the end all I got were some smug teachers that bitched at the kids more often rather then teaching lessons. Ive heard the principle here is pretty dumb with his decisions and he tries to keep his high school as the \best in the state.\ By what I heard instead of expelling students with drugs all he does is give them a Saturday detention then he just lets them off only so he can make his school look \Great.\ The students here are honestly pretty trashy, Ive been bullied allot in this school and the teachers and staff don't do anything by what I've seen, the most i've been told is to \ignore it.\ Well its pretty hard to ignore it when I have other people targeting me. And one thing I want to note is that I've seen allot more people fail rather then graduate. In conclusion- -This school has a high rate of students who use drugs and alcohol, and by what I've heard the principle doesn't do much about it. -Most teachers Ive had yell at the students allot and don't teach very well (This does not apply to all teachers) -This school doesn't have a huge bullying problem, but there are still some kids who get bullied and the staff just tells them to \man up\ pretty much. -This school honestly isn't the \Best in the state\ by what I've heard. I was supposed to go to Fontainebleau but instead I ended up going here and by what I know Fontainebleau is probably a better school to send your kid to.
My friend who went here says there was a kid smoking marijuana in her honors math class, so, yikes.
