We just moved our scripts to the Malmstrom pharmacy, due to retirement age etc. They are slow - so are many other places. I've much longer waits at Walgreens! They are friendly ,helpful and polite. I have health several issues, so just my copay's were an enormous cost for us. I wanted to take a minute to say how thankful I am for the pharmacy and the wonderful staff.

Impossible to get a hold of someone for something you need, staff is unfriendly and unhelpful.

Not open because of training on the one day I have available to pick up a prescription refill. How do you prioritize training over your primary mission? Do you know what would happen if the thousands of shift workers on this base did that? The world would blow up. That’s why we all train on our own time. Do your job. We might as well terminate all of your jobs, and rely on civilian healthcare. If you’re not operating during your already limited operating hours, what is the point of even keeping you around?

The pharmacy takes incredibly long to fill orders and referrals forces you to do things on your own online, which is not always as convenient as it was intended to be. Often times, paperwork also doesnt freely float between offcare providers and on base PCMs like it should. Civilian care is generally better. It's also not uncommon to leave a message with a shop and not get a return call for a long time. Flight med is notorious for not answering the phone or returning calls. I'm better off just calling every hour until someone answers.

Malmstrom Pharmacy is the reason I use Smith's Pharmacy. Slow as molasses on a cold January day. No Doctor prescriptions filled and ready. Not their process. Take a number, wait, check-in, useless paperwork that does nothing, then wait again for it to be processed. Then having to miss work to get to do all of this done at a snail's pace only adds insult to injury. None of these people would survive in a customer oriented position. At least they were friendly if not glacially slow.

Referral Management more like a daycare than a responsible department! I am the wife of a Retired AF Member and have been for the past 31 yrs. We have been in Great Falls for 25 of those years and I have NEVER been more disgusted in our Medical facility then this week.\u200b I was sent off base for a PCM at the beginning of the year due to medical issues that were too involved, that was fine. The PCM that was willing to take me on not knowing a diagnosis books out months in advance, but I still see go to the GYN clinic on base for other stuff. I have a history of Breast Cancer in my family, my mom pasted 2 yrs ago, her sister, age 51, my sister diagnosed last year. I found 3 lumps on the 11th and I can't get in to see my PCM. Major Marshall who had done the last mammogram referral in Jan. did an urgent auth for the 17th of Sept when I got the appt. for a mammogram. When Thursday came around and no auth or referral was placed at Health net, I called Major Marshall. She said she did it on Monday and it had to be held up in Referral Management. She gave me the # to call, but no answer. I left a message and waited till Friday morning. I tired to call again, no answer so I went a different route. Another office contacted them for me. Their answer was they can't do the referral cause I had a PCM off base. When the HELL were they going to contact me or even contact Major Marshall? I now have to put off a mammogram that is really needed because they could not pick up the phone. Where is the accountability???
