Beautiful place by the river. Friendly staff and great service. They even have a nice hunt for clues that the kids are given to get them motivated to look around with a reward at the end. I'd definitely go back

Highly recommended! "Closed" during the pandemic (no fare collector) but you can access the fort, beach, and enchanted forest. There are reduced diorama structures available for viewing in the replica trading post fort, no tour guide obviously. Read up on the history prior to visiting for a better experience. Note: Le Bannik Restaurant is only open for supper.

Very interesting place to visit and walk through. Even if it ia mostly an outside excursion, there is also an indoor visit showing with interactive maps showing you the trade roads the people used to travel through in the past, as well as old artifacts found on the site. The outdoor visit shows you how life was, back then, in this trade post, being also a small village. The staff is very professional and will do everything to make you feel confortable, even provide you with an umbrella if it rains. The visit ain't long enough to occupy a complete afternoon, but bring your towel and bathing suit, the Temiscamingue lake is right there with pic nic tables and places to enjoy the beach! You can even rent a kayak or a pedalo at the Bannik rental stand.

Timely message only! Because of covid19 the interior is closed but the external exhibits are still open. I suggest a stroll through the enchanted forest regardless!
