Sorry for super late Google review. This was my review on another site at the time October 2017. Lajla's rorbu is a cozy place located in a picturesque fishing village. We didn't get a chance to meet Lajla in person due to our very late arrival and super early check out but she was easily available via messaging and answered all questions we had. Communication was top notch. The clean rorbu is equipped with your basic amenities and having the cooking facilities will come in handy since there is no restaurant nearby except for the pub that's open on weekends only. (We visited in October, might be open more often during the summer.) There is a coop store that sells grocery items within walking distance. Their prices are comparable to the one near the Evenes airport. The Polar Lights Center is within a mile and a must visit if you're there to experience the Northern Lights like we did. You will get text alerts and best places to view them. The rorbu's location has so many charming places around it to explore. We hardly saw anyone except for the fishermen early in the morning. The few pedestrians we ran into are very friendly and helpful and like one young mom who was walking her baby had suggested, we definitely will return on other seasons too. I highly recommend you getting a rental car. Overall the rorbu is great value for your money. It was nice to experience a little slice of heaven at the end of the earth and hope our beautiful memories will sustain us until our next visit.
