My experience with the high road Lancaster program was good. 18 month program went by quick. I would like to send special thanks to the staff members who were always nice and courteous to me, especially Angela, Brenda and the program director Sasha were all great to me, thank you high road for helping me get my driving privileges back!

This place was supposed to be designed to HELP not hender people becasuse they are having a conversation about accountability with the counselor and the counselor disagrees with your comments and then want to abuse their power this program in Lancaster is only about taking money not in helping to find solutions to our decision-making after drinking alcohol. I wanted to speak with the Director at High Road program and was basically was denied and told inaccurate information. I was told Director Sasha Petrovich would be back in two hours on June 17th at 12:37p.m. when I called within those two hours I was then told she would not be back until next Thursday June 27th and today is June 17th because I stated I wanted to make a formal complaint. They need to be professional and if clients are not allowed to participate in conversation that should be stated we can only listen not have opinions. Counselor need to understand you are dealing with clients THAT comes from all different walks of life and working in the field for over 20 years they should practice communication skills.

Underwent a fairly major surgery Thursday 4-19, so I was forced to reschedule my weekly class to accomadate my surgery date, paid the 20 to reschedule, walked all the way from ROSAMOND (10miles) to arrive Monday for their MANDATORY make up class at 6:58 pm. Only to have the woman shut the door in my face and slide the blinds down to avoid conversation with me. I've got doctors notes for bed rest for 2 weeks and that's how you choose to do business? I paid 25 to attend that class and another 20 to reschedule it. I even spoke to the woman earlier that day to confirm my class. That's not honest business. Close your blinds and start laughing? That walk hurt more than you know with a rod and pins in my shoulder 4 days after surgery. I will be contacting corporate. My weekly class starts at 7:30pm. How do you attend a class at that time is you close your doors before even 7:00pm ?! Making cheap money off people that are forced to attend. That's a horrible way to do business ladies. After all of the sexual jokes y'all were making towards me when I was enrolling I thought I was in a laid back environment. Now I feel a little more uncomfortable in your location. The courts make our lives hard enough, why treat us like second class citizens? We are your only customers. It's mandatory. No need to be rude and unprofessional.

While attending The High Road I had to change my classes from Mon. night to Thurs. night. That change included changing counselors. Somehow throughout my program my Alcohol Education classes were not scheduled, ever. It wasn't caught until the conclusion of my groups when I should have been going into re-entry. I then had to wait for a group of AEs to open up and do them separately rather than during the normal 18 months, spaced two weeks apart and go to additional face to face meetings in between, an additional 6 face to faces. The scheduling mishap by the administrators of the course cost me an additional 12 weeks of the program as well as an additional 6 face to face meetings. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you can.
