Completely agree with previous 1 star rating. Certainly regarding no consistency with staff especially medical. Some lovely staff but few and far between
I spent four months at Passmores house after a months detox at the Maudsley and kings college hospitals, my alcoholism was as bad as it can ever get, in fact I was told I was unlikely to survive the detox, my 16th in the previous 5 years, my time at Passmores was where my life began again, it was probably the hardest 4 months of my life but also the most beneficial, I found that if you really really want to change and your prepared to work hard then it really can work, the staff are knowledgeable and have a passion to see people improve their lives, I was taught how to overcome cravings and how to identify trigger points and high risk situations, some of the lessons don't seem relevant at the time but when you graduate and your out here alone it all fits into place, I can't fault Passmores in any way whatsoever, I use the tools I was taught everyday to keep me safe and have been sober now for three and a half years and trust me if I can do it then so can you, I enjoy my life now and have regained the trust and respect from my family and friends which was in utter ruins when I was drinking, I would recommend Passmores house without hesitation.
I work in a day treatment service in Herts. Many of our clients come to us after detox in Passmores arranged by CGL - over a dozen in the last year - and all of them report a very positive and supportive experience, friendly professional staff and good outcomes. I am very puzzled by the mainly negative reviews, since this does not reflect the experiences of our clients.
