Absolutely stunning monument. Worth the price of admission. My current favorite in Germany. Something about it is compelling, I saw it from the Autobahn while passing through the area. Weeks later after some research to find out what it was, I made the trip back to see it up close and personal. If you are physically fit I recommend the hike from town and make a day trip out of the experience.

Awesome monument to German Kaiser The entrance is with 8 a bit much, especially when you take your family up there. But the view is greate and you can stay up there for quite a long time since the view and details of the monument is very good
Currently closed due to Corona lockdown conditions but I visited it earlier. Gives a grandiose view of the surrounding area and it is quite interesting to learn about the history, visit the castle ruins and climb the monument.
Beautiful views, impressive monument. It's a fun, interesting half-day activity.
I brought my family here while they were visiting. It was fun trip with a great view from the top (with an elevation of 473m). The monument is to Frederick I and is often referred to as Barbarossa, which means red beard in Italian. The legend surrounding the monument is interesting and I recommend you to look it up if you visit! As icing tot he cake, the castle houses the deepest castle well, at 176m, in the world.
