Place was nice enough. You can tell the building is old, outside and inside, and it could use more or better lighting . It looks like it has a bit of history. When you go inside you will see lots of trophies and pictures of people who appear to have participated in competitions they would hold at this place. The rink staff was really nice, however the front desk staff could be a bit more welcoming. The skates that they provided for us and our kids were in nice condition. On the rink they have a dedicated area for small children who are beginners. They also provide a type of cart that slides that children can use to lean on to get a better balance or even ride while someone else’s pushes. Overall we had a good time and I would recommend this place for a nice family outing.

I’m a bit conflicted about this review. I recently skated at the Ice Chalet and my experience was not too awful. However due to COVID regulations and such, I expected a little more restrictions on the place. I had reserved a spot online before arriving and was under the impression that there would be limited capacity(100 person capacity) and more health restrictions put into place. When I finally got here, there were way too people in the rink and outside of it, I never saw anyone wiping anything down at all, and there were multiple people( adults and kids) that were not fully wearing their mask. One of the staff had even mentioned they were holding a birthday party during the time I scheduled to go. There were multiple kids pushing past people and all over the rink with no rules being enforced on them except for the occasional generalized announcement. Maybe it was my fault for not paying attention to what times were busiest but I did not expect it to be so busy I couldn’t even skate without being on top of the person in front of me when there was limited capacity in place. I was also disappointed because other reviewers had talked about the Ice Chalet’s great handling over COVID restrictions and had hoped for better when I went, but what little skating I was able to do was nice .

Can't give an honest review because the hours of operation are so terrible that my family and I can't even go there. Closes at 3:30 during the week? Who skates there? People who don't work? Home schooled kids? It's a shame......

On weekday nights it is great! On weekends it is too crowded unfortunately.

During the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, the Ice Chalet is one place where I felt completely safe. Complete with a mandatory mask wearing policy, temperature check upon entry, wipe downs and social distance seating. I had a wonderful return to the ice!! Skate Rental and Entry fee was a reasonable 15. I will eventually purchase a new pair of Hockey Skates in their elaborate, stocked, onsite store. The staff was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful! I can't wait to return!!
