My experience with Kingston flying club has been a horrible one. This isn't going to be a ranty review. Rather one that explains to the general public what they can except when deciding to fly with this flight school. They include: - horrible customer service when trying to figure out when your flight is canceled and for what reason. - rude and toxic staff behaviour (check other reviews on yellow pages, trip advisor and google) - flying once per month at best because of the age of the aircraft how often it needs parts and its maintenance schedule. - flying in an airplane that is borderline unsafe for flight training with 20,000 hours on it - lack of transparency on costs when you first arrive to commence flight training. -limited opportunity for community involvement with other students and staff - an assumption that you know how to do walk around's of the plane to inspect it for safety - feeling like a number rather than a name, you're just a transaction to them These are just some of the experiences you might encounter should you decide to fly here. this flight school completely turned off my interest in training as I thought this was the level of professionalism I should expect to see in general aviation. On that note, ill leave you with this. You have been around since 1929, look back to the days when things were going well for you guys. Do what is in the best interest of the students, because they are the ones that keep you a float. Your organization needs a ground-up rework if you want to be seen well in the Public eye again. For prospective students/ CFI's / or volunteers. My hope is that you consider what I have written, and make an informed decision if you decide to pursue flight training at KFC. PLEASE SHOP AROUND AT OTHER FLIGHT SCHOOLS IN THE KINGSTON AND SURROUNDING AREA BEFORE DECIDING TO PURSUE KFC. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

I am a watchdog for flying clubs / flying schools, living in Belleville area. Kingston Flying Club is not a safe flying club. They have had their flying license suspended by Transport Canada. The contraventions are serious. Be sure that if you decide to learn to fly or go sightseeing in southern ontario that you check all the facts about the clubs and schools. Hopefully Kingston Flying Club will respond to my comments with an explanation. Honesty is always the best policy.
