I took a very expensive Ford 428 CJ Engine to Jay's to be rebuilt based on his rather lengthy reputation in the industry. From the start I grew fond of Jay. A unique character for sure, but also an expert in his field. A busy shop indeed, but Jay was still able to do all the work within a 5 week time frame, which is good for a machine shop. He helped me wake wise decisions for parts selection and the machine work he did borders on brilliant. The end result of the experience leaves me wanting to get another engine just to have him do another one for me. Bottom line, old school machine shop with expert level work. A warm, welcome environment where Jay seems to enjoy engaging with his customers. His team was also really good about sending me photos of my work in process. Again, a super busy shop but I did find that the way to Jay's heart was to have food delivered at lunch time. Hamburgers did the trick.

Jay has a great sense of humor and is a rather friendly guy. I really enjoyed my time there. The workers are also very friendly and very helpful. I am extremely pleased with my experience at jays automotive shop. They are pretty busy in there but jay always took time to answer any of my questions, and he even took extra time to recommend and advise me on the right parts for my performance build. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

A couple years ago I was restoring a 1970 Opel kadett, I walked in with the block and Jay immediately knew what motor it was and said I haven't seen one of those in a while! He went thru my block, did the necessary machine work and completely rebuilt the head. I assembled the rest of the engine, broke it in hard and boy did that engine run well! I put 10k on it before I sold it and it's still running great down in southern California! Great knowledgeable people and a very affordable price! Jay's has been around forever and know their stuff! Sorry for the late review I'll keep spreading the word

If you want your fresh internals to smash through your cylinder walls - I highly suggest you take your motor here.
