If you want to gift somebody something of and from Jharkhand, which represents the spirit of Jharkhand, then Biponi is the place. It a store that displays and sells handicraft, painting, clothing and other decorative item made by the artists of the state of Jharkhand. The items are reasonably priced and you can choose from a wide variety of items. The staff is also very courteous and helpful.
Tribal and hand made items of variety material and applications, are on display. Mostly for home decor and as gift items. A very good initiative for these rural artisans for their products to be put for sale in a organised way.
Artistic dresses and small art objects are available here. Hand made masks for wall decoration and variety of 'dokra' items also available. A simple visit is worth. I brought one dokra mask of excellent quality.
