Learning a new skills during a pandemic was always going to be challenging, however the team, when possible, made sure that training happened. Furthermore I work during the day and therefore made training mid week challenging, however evening classes were put on which accelerated training greatly, as well as weekend sessions! This enabled me to advance quickly and get flying before winter hit! You won’t be spoon fed your training, which IMO is a good thing, it’ll encourage you to be proactive and progress your training. Training at the airfield meant that there are other to learn from and help out. Everyone is at different stages with new people joining weekly. A wide selection of kit to learn on which, along with advice from your trainer, helps you identify when and what to purchase when you’re ready. Don’t buy kit before training, unless you like wasting money!

Started training at the end of 2017, really relaxed and systematic approach to training and a positive friendly atmosphere. I've built my flying experience with the help of Simon and Col and if I ever have any issues or questions I just pop to the airfield; if its flyable safe conditions then they will always be there. The thing I liked most about the training was that once you have finished and completed the syllabus, you are still part of the club and warmly welcomed at the airfield. It's a great little community and I've made lots of friends outside of my normal circle. I couldn't afford my own gear for a while once qualified, but Simon let me use the school equipment as long as students had been seen to. There are many schools out there, but it speaks volumes that students sometimes drive from as far as Scotland to train at Membury. If you're looking at finding a school then I highly recommend this one.
great flying school, top lad, lastest equipment for you to fly. step by step and easy to understand. highly recommended.
After paragliding for several years I had a long break from flying I decided to take up paramotoring I discovered paramotortraing.com.and signed up after chatting to Simon westmore . I signed up at the beginning of the 2020 but due to COVID 19 and bad weather I haven’t progressed as quickly as I hoped. On the occasions I did get to Membury i found the trainers friendly and helpful and the progress I have made so far has got me to the stage of being told by Simon i’am ready for my first flight soon. The people I have met at Membury both qualified pilot’s and students have all been friendly and supportive. If you are thinking of taking paramotoring give Simon a call
Awesome Paramotor school - look no further! Before joining the school I gave Simon a call and he took loads of time to walk me through how the course works and what to expect. I've been learning with the guys a few weeks and absolutely love it. Simon and Colin are great teachers and clearly have a wealth of experience in both Paramotors and other types of aviation. I spent the first few days with them learning about the wings & how to handle them on the ground which is great fun and really rewarding when you get it right. After getting acquainted with the Paramotor unit (a mixture of top line Parajet Maverick & Zenith units) the guys hooked me up with the radios and I started the run for takeoff. The first flight was amazing and one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I've come from a light aircraft background and the sense of freedom you have on a Paramotor is soo much more. Simon's voice in my ear the whole way round kept me super relaxed and I felt really safe. The takeoff and landing went really smoothly thanks to the extensive ground training and pre-flight briefing. I'm looking forward to continuing my training journey with the gents. The site they use is Membury airfield and I've found there is a real sense of community from the school with lots of ex-students around and other aviators to network with & make new friends. The guys have also been super helpful in terms of advising me on gear, different Paramotor options and advise for wings.
