Buying used guns here is a very good idea, they do verify functionality and they have a great warranty with highly skilled, in-house, gunsmiths who can fix darn near anything. All new and used is guaranteed in-house. I love that. I brought a mid-60's malfunctioning revolver from another shop, where the other gunsmith told me that the gun could not be fixed, and the gunsmith at Collector's repaired it easily for less than 100 bucks. This place does business honorably, and in the current market of guns (new and used) that's really saying something. I would happily give them 5 stars, but I'm embarrassed to admit that I just paid 100 for a 50-round box of 45 colt. Collector's does have lots of obscure calibers of ammo, but even the common stuff is getting up to nosebleed prices. (yes we all understand the shortage). EDIT: Raised my review to 5 stars based on the “owner response” to another review explaining ammo pricing and the increased wholesale price that Collectors pays in order to stock hard to find calibers. Respectable. This shop does business far more honorably than many. Cheap prices generally mean you are on your own with warranty issues, which is not the case here.

One of the best gun stores in Houston. If you collect historical items this place is like a museum. The service is great. Texas hospitality, and by the sign over the toilet, Texas humor too.

Best shopping experience yet again! Firearms collectors has never let me down. This was only possible because , of Nathan. He was really great at the service he provided to my friend and I, and was really knowledgeable of the questions we would ask. Definitely coming back. 11/10

Expensive but they have a little of everything. The place is basically a museum. I do wish it wasn't so spread out though, feels a bit deserted. The old location was just so filled with character. Hopefully when guns are back to pre pandemic availability they will have time to decorate a bit
