I had HomeWorks energy add some insulation to my attic and do some venting. From what I can tell this part of their job was done very well. I also contracted with them for a new gas furnace. The furnace has been installed for about a month. The furnace shuts off and I am getting a 110-03 error. I reported this and they sent out a technician. This did not correct the issue and I had a failure over the weekend. I never received a call back to correct the issue on Monday so I called them again on Tuesday as once again the furnace shut off. They sent someone out on Wednesday to correct the issue. The tech told me that I would get a call by the end of the day for a plumber to come out. I did not receive a call. So now we are at Thursday and I have a 3 family home that has sporadic heat. I called first thing in the morning and I finally got a technician out here. Before even looking at the furnace he contradicted everything that the technician who spent several hours here the day prior. I am upset that I should need to keep taking time out of my day (I work full time) to keep on top of HomeWorks to do their job. I noted that one of my thermostats is not working. That is yet another appointment that needs to get scheduled so now I am up to 4 appointments. I totally understand that issues happen but it should not take a full day plus 4 other appointments to get a furnace installed. this is just sloppy

Excellent Service from start to finish on my insulation project! I called to get a free energy audit from Home Works Energy and they came out and did a thorough inspection on my house from top to bottom. Mike was an excellent auditor in the process, and super helpful at pointing out all the areas where we could save money and heat to reduce our bills. Today I had Dominic and Kelvin's team come out and do the air-sealing, additional insulation and other energy-saving measures including door sweeps to help keep more heat in and be more efficient. I cannot say enough about how courteous, professional, thorough, pleasant and efficient this crew was!! Dominic called me ahead of time to let me know he was on the way, and was a complete professional the entire visit. The guys made sure everything was done according to our specifications, they followed up and checked their work with the blower door testing, and made sure I was happy before they cleaned up and wrapped the job. Thank you so much for the great experience with this team--I am looking forward to lower energy bills (and being warmer!) in the coming years. I would totally recommend any homeowner to get the free work that Mass Save funds with this program. Mass Save pays for most of the work, and we had a very small co-pay for the amount of insulation work that got done in our home. The money spent is totally worth what we did and will offset in less than a year with what we will avoid paying to National Grid on a regular basis.

HomeWorks Energy sent out 3 technicians(Tom, Ben and Felipe) that were very professional, courteous and very detailed. They did a fantastic job and left the place cleaner than they found it. They worked very efficiently and the quality of work is top notch. I highly recommend them. I couldn’t be happier with Tom, Ben and Felipe! What a great team!

I can't believe how much warmer my house is! Truck#NS24, Wilfredo, Wilder and Jeybin were amazing. Professional, clean and responsible. They always wore a mask and were really great about social distancing while working in an enclosed space. Very impressed, highly recommend.

Sales/pre-work inspection visit was well done and professional. Two areas needed insulating: the attic and the crawlspace. The crew showed up on time and seemed alright. Insulated the attic, but did not install the roof vent because the roof was icy. Fair enough. Did not insulate the crawlspace because the ground was wet. OK, I guess, although I offered plywood to cover the ground. According to the leader, it would give me a chance to remove the old insulation and the plywood myself to save some bucks (I suppose). Was told to re-schedule once there is no ice on the roof and the crawlspace is workable. Which is exactly what I did. Someone came by, \installed\ a vent (pic). I'm pretty sure I am not supposed to see the sky around it though (seriously?). Crawl space has not been touched. That's about 200 SqFt that has no insulation right now and the temperature is in the low twenties. Called multiple times, to no avail. Got someone from a different department on the line, who managed to make the relevant department call me back. Guess what? nobody knows what happened, and the only way forward is to have a field supervisor come for an inspection two days from now. I asked: \what about my un-insulated floor?\ The reply I got: \I do not have a solution for that. The field supervisor will decide.\ This is rather unprofessional and unhelpful, but OK, I suppose it is not that person's call. Tried a few more calls to the scheduling department, left voicemail. No luck. After doing everything per their instructions, I am left with an extra hole in the roof, 200 SqFt of un-insulated floor and no scheduled visit in sight. So here I am, writing this review and looking for another contractor. Anyone can do a great job when going is good. It is the ability to recover from the inevitable screw-ups that sets the contractors of a similar caliber apart. My advise- stay away from this one.
