This place is a nightmare. It does not belong in a residential neighborhood let alone an historic one! It helps some people but attracts others it refuses to help. They go there to get drugs, plain and simple. It’s a friggin MAGNET that draws chronic homeless to our beautiful old neighborhood. Do you want bums walking in front of your house all day? I think not! Get out of here homeless services!!!

Staff is helpful but swears at clients. I have been here a number of times assisting others who need help. Each time, I have witnessed front-line staff yelling and swearing at a client who is out of line . there are rules of conduct for participants and staff. This kind of behavior does not model the desired behavior and is rude and disrespectful towards people in need who are experiencing their own crisis. This behavior by staff is also intimidating and degrading to others who witness this untoward and negative emotion by staff. For a branch of Catholic Charities, I would expect a much higher level of dignity and respect towards those seeking assistance.
