We recently moved out of a property managed by Homefinders and we were glad to do so! Several issues: - improper tenancy report at inception of tenancy - property was not professionally cleaned - confusion on payment dates and pro/rata (below) - left scaffolding outside the property for 7 months (after resolving promptly, which was a positive) - very unresponsive to emails throughout tenancy - tried to charge rent on a daily rate instead of monthly (as agreed per contract) - on leaving the property proposed excessive deductions and explain normally these deduction were higher (often in excess of 1,000) and argued they were hence being considerate - charged 25 for the removal of a suction cap from the bathroom - charged 40 for professional gardening due to weeds (which we demonstrated were present on moving in but gave in due to delay in refunding deposit) - refunded the deposit 1 month after leaving the property (as late as legally possible) - only way we got traction was to constantly visit the estate agents Pleasant people in person, but a nightmare to get hold of and very unresponsive. Please consider impact on tenants before choosing!
