I was doing an internship at Stevens in Hoboken and my glasses just fell apart. I hadn't had an eye exam in a few years, I was always under my parents insurance. Long story short, I went somewhere else to save a few bucks. I ended up getting exactly what I paid for. I couldn't see, I was getting headaches. I was frustrated. My college professor told me to go see his optometrist. Not cheap he said, but the eye exam is good and the prescription is right on. I ended up getting my exam there. The optometrist there was awesome. He fix my prescription, and I got my new glasses. Perfect vision. No problems. I would definitely travel back here to get my eye exams. The eye doctor was fantastic.

I have been going to Hoboken Optical for 3 years. Each year I pay for an exam and a years worth of contacts. This week I called to repurchase some contacts, but they told me that my Rx just expired and they would not sell me any until I paid for a new exam. I asked to schedule a new appointment for an exam and also asked to purchase enough contacts to get me to the exam. They refused to sell me enough contacts to get me to the exam. Instead, they sold me a few contact samples that we labeled "not for resale". I could not believe how little they cared about a longtime patient. Their short sighted tactics to ensure I paid for an exam have definitely backfired. I will definitely never go there again.
