Amazing. Five stars, two thumbs up, cannot possibly recommend highly enough. If possible, try to get a guided tour! The history of the castle and technique that went into readying it for battle are fascinating.

Main attraction at Hikone. The entrance fee is 800yen for castle and garden. You can also paid an extra of 400 yen (1200yen in total) to enter Hikone Castle Museum. You have to hike a little to reach the castle, it is better to wear shoes. At the top, you will be rewarded with the view of the castles and Lake Biwa. Its beautiful.
Original castle from long ago. It is interesting to observe the interior and exterior architectural details. Now in November, there are nice winter sakura and beautiful momiji together.
Very nice Japanese castle with a lot of history. One of the 12 still very original remaining castles in Japan. Absolutely recommended to go there. Awesome view and history here. Absolutely enjoyed it here, nice atmosphere.
I went there in the evening and there was no people. Beautiful place because of the light.
