Martyn is very knowledgeable and was really helpful sorting out the front mech on my recumbent trike and getting everything running smoothly again. Highly recommended.

I booked in with Martyn for a wheel building course, and it was a very rewarding experience. I was a complete novice, but am involved in a bike(Tommasini Tecno) building project and wanted to build the wheels for the bike. Martyn gave me reading materials in advance which were helpful. He then took me through lacing up a practice wheel twice, before starting on my own wheel. Along the way I learnt, how to calculate spoke lengths, how to measure spoke tension, and how to use a wheel truing stand. Wheel building is quite complex, but Martyn was always on hand to advise, prompt and occaisionally rescue me. I was very impressed by the whole experience, and there is a great sense of achievement in walking away with 2 wheels that you have constructed; and a joy at understanding what wonderful pieces of engineering a bicycle wheel is.

I used Martyn to remove a particularly tricky seatpost from a frame, that no-one else would even attempt. First class.
