Really pleased with this marina, good, clean, modern and effective facilities and friendly even during lockdown, as much as it can be from a distance and with the pub closed etc. Quiet but always with people around as has quite a few liveaboarders. Very accommodating of dogs, cats, kids, everyone really. Pontoons are all quite new and work being done to the road, so they do look after the place, been to plenty of marinas that neglect these things! It's everything I'd want really although it would be nice if there was better access to walks and countryside along the river on the marina side, as it is a bit closed off from the river frontage. A picnic area on that side would be lovely.

The Hartford mill restaurant and bar was very busy when we visited ....everything seems to run like clockwork ... staff very busy getting orders to the tables ...and still they have time to make time for each customer. I liked that the menu wasn't overwhelming. There is also a carvery with at least three choices which includes vegetarian. The staff are very mindful in keeping everywhere clean and tidy in and around the restaurant area. The site of Hartford marina, as a whole, is very pleasant, friendly, clean and very tidy. We visited as we were meeting with other disabled photographers society members taking a trip on the boat belonging to the Ladybird Boat trust. Such a marvellous afternoon on the river ... thank you to all who looked after us.
