A very spiritual enlightenment type of experience. Beautiful grounds, peaceful atmosphere. They have a restaurant also, thats open on a shedule, not all the time. It serves ethnic foods, that are prepared homemade, while also being in a formal setting. A large selection of various teas is another one of their expertises. Its a Russian/Slavic style palette.

Eastern Orthodox Christian Monastery - heavenly place on Earth.
The church and the services are absolutely beautiful. There is nothing like St. Sabbas unless you go to the Holy Land. The Royal Eagle restaurant has very memorable High Tea on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, as well as a 5 star dinner on Thursday evenings. The atmosphere is unmatched as well as the unique menu , costumed waiters and waitresses, and peaceful ambiance.

My words could never describe the Awesome haunting beauty of the Russian Orthodox church on the grounds of St. Sabbas Monastery. The Sacred Hand Paintings along the walls throughout the Church as well as the authentic iconic Alter in its glorious gold appearance provides an experience uncompromising. I suggest rather then wait to go to Europe to visit the Orthodox Cathedrals, do your artistic soul a favor and visit the Sacred Splendor The Archimandrite Pachome of St. Sabbas Monastery has accomplished!
