How I wished there was \0\ stars. Got this security alarm service which never was correctly installed - I spent the next year and a half trying to get someone to fix it to no end. I submitted a complaint to Better Business Bureau (BBB) and an ADT representative agreed to pay me back in full all payments I had made. Since then, they stopped sending me invoices but I have not received any return of payments. Followed up with BBB and ADT is non-responsive. I have multiple locations with ADT Canada. All I can say is I'm slowly switching all locations. I am so not happy with their service. When I get a call in the middle about an alarm it is and automated call, It doesn't give the address of the location. It quickly gives a reference number for me to call them back with. The problem with that is If it's in the middle of the night, by the time I get up find my glasses and a pen and paper the automated system has already hung up. so when I call them back to find out which location they don't know because I don't have the reference number. This has happened to me while driving as well. When I call the Tech. support service desk number there is so much noise in the back ground from other people talking it is difficult to understand what they are saying. Last Saturday morning aprox. 5:30 am I received a call from ADT from someone telling me that there was a technical problem with the system for a location that is 2 hours away from me. I asked them if they were going to send someone out to fix it, she said no. So I asked why on earth would you call me at 5:30 am wake me up, just to tell me there was a problem but won't do anything about it. This is just one bad company to deal with.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. The sales team is the only functional team at this awful company. I had cameras installed by this awful company in July 2020. Also had regular door and motion sensors put into place for roughly 35/month. The sales team offered a warranty for the camera system. It's not part of the monitoring service, but the awful company set up the warranty as part of the monitoring service. I needed them to rewire 3 cameras, so I called the warranty department, whom of course said they couldn't do it without an extra charge. The warranty service was over 800/year on a 7000 total install. Naturally, I cancelled the warranty service, which I was never told was on contract (because that's insane - no other insurance/warranty program works that way). I confirmed this with the sales team, and with the loyalty/cancellation teams over 5 hours of phone calls with their inept back office personnel. Lo and behold, after this useless, fake warranty was cancelled and I was told they had made a mistake in the back end that put it on contract when it shouldn't have been, I get hit with an over 1000 bill for cancellation... on a 800/year warranty plan. What kind of ponzi scheme bs is this? No one at this company tries to solve problems - only to erode your will by making you wait on the phone. It's an awful company, and now that Telus has bought it this is a poor reflection upon Telus. I will never get any ADT or Telus products ever again, and will be cancelling my existing plans with ADT as soon as the contracts are over.

I wish I could give them a 0 star rating. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are dishonest and provide poor customer service. The equipment they install is cheap and malfunctions constantly. I have tried to speak with a manager since October 2019. I finally spoke with someone in April 2020 who assured me my charges would be reversed. Then in May 2020 they contact me and tell me I still have outstanding charges and there is no record of my call in April. They don't seem to understand that a contract requires the service provider to actually provide service!

Got a system 5 years ago. After the second year they stopped supporting their pulse system, which was what we bought it for. Three years later we went to cancel, after buying wireless camera. They claimed we resigned a contract verbally over the phone. When I demanded proof they told me it would take a week to get the recording. Two weeks later I called, and they said they again requested the recording it would take another week. We are now on week six. No recording, they are refusing to let us out of the contract, AND have not returned a single one of my calls. Avoid them at all cost!
