I've also taken Angelinas ballet class and she's really good too. Really fun beginners class. I haven't taken any of the other classes but they all look like a lot of fun and there is always a good energy when you walk in. Every studio seems to be having fun! They've started to teach youth classes too which is nice.

This is an amazing class for a beginner or for anyone who has ever dreamt of learning to dance but has felt too shy or intimidated to attend a dance class! Yolanda is not only an incredible dancer but she is an expert at breaking down complex moves into simple steps that even someone who has never danced before can understand and do. I’ve also worked with Yolanda many times as a performance coach and she has been invaluable!!!
I've dreamed of taking dance my whole life, and tried a few other classes, but until Yolanda's class I never felt comfortable enough to really put myself out there and try (and laugh and get it wrong and try again), something that's essential to learning a new skill as an adult. As soon as the first class ended, I immediately signed up for a whole package of classes--I can't say enough about how positive and kind and super-skilled Yolanda is, and she manages to break things down in a way that even I could get the hang of! Try this class, you'll have a blast!
4.5 stars. This is a gem of a studio completely friendly to the novice dancer and those just looking to get their groove on. My favorite instructors are Wil-son for his cardio hip hop classes. I've taken his Zumba and while fun and will definitely make you sweat, the cardio hip hop is more challenging as it's choreography and he always throws in a tricky breakdance move at the end.
I love this place. I used to take classes here years ago and only recently started up again. I'm a little older and a little less flexible now but it is still great. My only quibble is that it is a bit large and impersonal (hence four starts instead of five). I prefer the smaller, homier dance studios, like The Beat in Berkeley. But the offerings and the teaching at Hip Hop Dance Classes for Adults - LA , as well as the cleanliness and decor, are first rate.
