If you're a first year student and you're not sure where to live in Groningen, do NOT come here. The only good part about this place is that you're guaranteed that you can live here for a year, but the moment you move in you will see that this will also be your biggest regret. It's a 1 year binding contract that forces you to stay in this rat- swarmed, filthy house. Nothing ever works, the repair hotline will ignore you half the time, the rat problem has not been solved since we started living here and our contact person will be on holiday 364 out of 365 days of the year. In addition to all of this, it's far from everything in the city and you will have to cycle 30mins to Zerinke every day :) Do yourself a favour and turn away from SSH in any way possible.
