Nice bit of history preserved in the city centre. Good for a photo opportunity and the attached plaque lets you learn a little about it. Can't go inside though or buy yourself a souvenir pencil sharpener or postcard though.

Just down the side of the Town Hall you find this old style Police Box and it was worth a photo opportunity if nothing else.
A valuable and interesting landmark, replete with an explanatory plaque. Surprised that Jodie Whittaker's Doctor doesn't use one!
Brainchild of Sheffield police Chief Constable Percy Sillitoe in 1928, 120 of these police boxes were placed around the city. This is the only one remaining, last used in the 1960s and now Grade II listed. The exterior is well maintained and strikingly green. The interior is now inaccessible but was originally used by police patrols as a rest stop and to telephone commanding officers.
Unique example of a South Yorkshire police box nestled by the side of Sheffield's old town hall
