I started a couple months ago. I've lost weight and gained flexibility and strength. I have a blast every time I go. The facilities are nice and clean and the instructors are great. All around great experience.

Jaime Gomez is a fantastic instructor. I’m a Wado-Ryu practitioner passing through with my family, and Jaime gave me an introductory lesson. The ground work was a lot of fun. I learned a lot! Jaime’s dojo was very nice with good thick mats, clean facilities, and lots of metals displayed around the room. I wish I was local, so I could give Gracie Barra some more attention. I’m definitely curious now.

Gracie Barra Lake Charles is a monster factory. It’s a facility for the refinement of nightmares. There's no point in sugar coating it. Want to get in shape? Want to learn to defend yourself? Whatever your goals for coming, everyone in that building will be happy to help you on every step of your path. It's not easy, but I couldn't recommend it more.

I absolutely love this place....when I say it's like having an extended family !! Due to major weather issues and covid in our area we had to hang the gi up for a bit...but when we returned it was such a big welcome back that I actually had a little bubble build up in my eye (yes a tear) awesome professor and mentors .... We just love it here 3 days a week of great practice and the best guidance for your littles
