The food was just as good as promised by the reviews I read. Service was quick and prices very reasonable. My husband and I both ordered the breakfast burrito and I noticed that his had more steak in it. I also wouldn't have been mad if it were a bit larger, but even so I would still call the price fair just based on the excellent flavor and good service. Another thing I appreciated was the sign in the bathroom about assault and consent, and I would come back here again because of that even if the food wasn't great. Thanks Goldmine!

Lots of history sitting in this place. If you get to meet Choppy, you're in for a treat! Very good food! Please compliment the cooking staff on your way out! Best hashbrowns ever...and I dont like hashbrowns! The food, the people, the atmosphere...you cant go wrong! You won't regret it!

They go out of there way to make your experience a good one. Had a friend in from Florida during the Trump rally in CB, everything was closed. I called them on a whim to see if their grill was still open ( we were starving after all that excitement) lol. Unfortunately, they had just closed. I told them my story of needing to feed us, and they graciously agreed to hold it open for me and my exhausted friends. Only in the Midwest will acts of kindness happen like this, needless to say, my friends were impressed that I could move mountains.. lol..(I take no claim) It's small town hospitality and the wonderful people who never disappoint. I have been taking friends and family to the Goldmine since 1997ish.. love, love this little hidden Gem in the foothills of Council Bluffs. Thank You staff and cooks who make it a great place.
