This is the most beautiful memorial I've ever seen! If you are a Canadian visiting France, Vimy is a must see!

Amazing, beautiful, touching memorial that really speaks to the sacrifices made by Canadians toward the First World War. The grounds and displays are very good and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Very moving memorial to the sacrifice of so many young Canadians. This memorial has be renovated recently and is in very good shape. Coming here one can see for oneself what an important geographical position this is. The craters from exploding shells have been seeded with grass but left in a mute testament to this horrendous waste of life.

An incredibly well kept memorial that is always breath taking to visit. It's ideally located for convenient break on the drive between Paris and Calais. The views from the memorial are great, there is a wide panoramic scene of the entire immediate area. The visitor centre is very informative with a lot for adults and older children to see and read. The trenches are impeccably kept and the staff are very friendly. Expect to spend 2 hours here. There are toilets located near the memorial and in the visitor centre. Talk a walk (10/15 mins) between the car park at the memorial and visitor centre to take in the affect of war on the landscape.

If you are in Northern France, and either Canadian, or interested in military conflict, you have to come here. What was accomplished here defined a fledgling country on its path to independence and had a profound change on the war. The trench experience tour is a must, and the monument is staggeringly impressive. Must visit!

Stunningly impressive monument overlooking the area where so many men on both sides lost their lives. The nearby free tour of part of the extensive tunnel and trench system was a highlight and highly recommended. Plenty of places to pause and reflect.

You should take the free guided tour of the visitor center and the trenches BEFORE heading to the memorial. The visitor center explains the battles very well. A must visit location for every Canadian wishing to remember the sacrifices and contributions of our soldiers during world war I. An emotional experience walking by all of the names inscribed on the memorial wall. We visited the tunnels and trenches and the student guides did a fantastic job explaining the positions of both allied and German troops on the ground. Lest we forget.
