Spangler’s Spring is an area that was occupied by both the Union and Confederate Armies during the Battle of Gettysburg. There are many stories of soldiers from both armies using the springs for water during the battle. Most of the action around the Spring took place on the evening of July 2nd and morning of July 3rd 1863.

The spring was on Mr Spangler's land. He used it, others used it. They call it... Spangler's Spring! This is a wonderfully monument-rich area of the battlefield at Gettysburg. Many miss this part of the battlefield, as there are only two ways in and they are not obvious. Many park roads are one way now due to volume, but they take you along the tour route which ends up covering all three days, and their events, in sequence.
