The repair if my sigma 18-250 took about a month, it’s a bit excessive on my own opinion, true is that during this covid time is passable 10/10 on handling and shipping the product.

I am not surprised with the reviews from others based on my experience. So I sent my 16mm sigma lens on January 19th 2021 for repair and me and Brian had an email conversation that he booked in on the 28th and it should run for 10 business days. Until now March 15th don't have any news on it. Couple of days ago he told me that he is going to re-email a quote; holy smokes it takes days to RE_EMAIL the quote. These folks are not worthy to be contracted by manufacturers to do the warranty service. I am so disappointed by the turn around time and unprofessional manner of how they conducts business.

Normally I never review companies but the customer service I received from Fernando at their email support was simply amazing. I received a pair of Klipsch M40 headphones a few years ago that had a number of design defects that led to them simply falling apart over the years - everything from the internal structure cracking to the headphone fabric falling off - everything. I emailed them and told them the situation, and they had a new pair of equivalent (400) headphones in my hands via Purolator in a week - no charge. I wish every company had this level of customer service. These headphones probably were technically out of warranty but they recognized the defects and made it right. Thank you Fernando and thanks to Klipsch/Gentec.

Update 2: The new kit arrived about a week and a half after being in contact with the company. They sent me an entirely new complete camera and kit, which was definitely far in excess of what was needed. There is clearly a communication breakdown somewhere in their service dept but management clearly takes customer service seriously and strives for customer satisfaction. Much appreciated. Update 1: After my review Gentec contacted me immediately and agreed to send a replacement kit at no charge, so this warrants raising from the original 2 stars to 3 stars. If and when the package arrives, would warrant another increase in rating. I ordered a Safari 4 Action Cam through my bank on points. It arrived faulty right out of the box so I contacted Gentec by email asking what to do, no response. I sent a second email and received a response. To their credit they said to send it back to them for a replacement. A couple months go by with nothing so I contacted them. Again, no response so I contacted them again; this time a response but the fellow had no idea what was happening. Coincidentally, my replacement arrived in the mail the next day; it was fine but the waterproof case (which I want for scuba) was missing the latch. Back on email to Gentec. No response. I tried again, no response. I tried a third time, no response. This has taken five months from day one and I have given up. I would have rated 1 star but they did try and make it right so that is worth something.
