Well what can I say about this beautiful Sultan Ahmet mosque also known as the blue mosque. We offered our afternoon prayer here. The interior was beautiful and we were blown away with the amazing architecture. Great experience for us as a family.

İstanbul was my first as a tourist destination 2018 after my princess left it was a good trip but full of sorrow. i missed her a lot on each step, and i believe she is in paradise and enjoying her life. soon In Sha Allah i will meet her. The Blue Mosque and Sophia Museum was looking beautiful at morning & night time. specially for me i offered Friday Prayer in Blue Mosque.

An architectural Marvel. Now being conserved carefully by the Turkish Government. One of the best recitations I have ever heard during prayer by the mosque imam. A few steps away from the Sultanahmet tram station. Much recommended!!

Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Turkish: Sultan Ahmet Camii), also known as the Blue Mosque, is an Ottoman-era friday mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. A functioning mosque, it also attracts large numbers of tourist visitors. It was constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the rule of Ahmed I. Its Külliye contains Ahmed's tomb, a madrasah and a hospice. Hand-painted blue tiles adorn the mosque’s interior walls, and at night the mosque is bathed in blue as lights frame the mosque’s five main domes, six minarets and eight secondary domes. It sits next to the Hagia Sophia, the principal mosque of Istanbul until the Blue Mosque's construction and another popular tourist site. I was there last week and i enjoyed a lot in this place and all area.

The most famous mosque in Istanbul is Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. Sultan Ahmed Mosque with 6 minarets and several domes, along with Hagia Sophia is considered as one of the most important and beautiful monuments in Istanbul and Turkey. Hagia Sophia is just a few minutes walk from Sultan Ahmed Mosque. This mosque known as blue mosque because the interior is filled with blue tiles. Of course, most of the blue tiles of this mosque are currently out of reach of visitors and are located on the upper floors of the mosque. The mihrab of the mosque is most beautiful interior elements of this mosque.

A lot of refurbishments are taking place, but you still see the grandeur of this beautiful historic mosque. As you enter bags are provided for shoes and entry is easy. You can also visit the mausoleum of Sultan Ahmet and his honourable family in a separate building during the day.

Amazing place to be at. You can visit AyaSofya mosque too, it's just 2 mins walk from the blue mosque. A lot of restoration work is under process at the moment. However, still notably to visit. You can also plan a whole day in this area, there's topkapi palace nearby too and then the grand bazaar area too. Also, all of it is accessible through blue line metro which starts from kabatas and ends at bagcilar. One the most touristy lines.
