Süleymaniye, Mimar Sinan Cd. No:52

Beautiful resting place for Sinan, the Greek/Armenian Christian master behind the greatest ottoman mosques in Turkey. Just behind his most famous work, the Suleiman Mosque in Istanbul.

Not an overly impressive place but that's really what makes this an interesting place. The idea that one of the greatest Ottoman architects could be buried in so humble a place just outside of one of his greatest works is very interesting.
Nearly miss this landmark, resting place of a true Architect Legend, on my way out from the sulemaniye mosque walking towards the galata bridge.
Worth a visit after you see the Mosk. There is a tomb at the back of the fountain
Very close to Suleymaniye, at the corner nice spot
Modest like the man, unlike is work. What a legend. 7/5 would Sinan again.
Really good place with fascinating sea view
