The El Caldito Soup Kitchen has been rated the best in the nation and with good reason. An efficient gleaning program from local grocery stores allows past due date but still very usable food to not be wasted, but put to good use instead. Volunteer crews prepare tasty and nutritious breakfast and noontime meals to all who come during advertised serving times. CoVid restrictions are carefully followed. No one need go hungry in Las Cruces.

Best.place when u have no money no where to go
Very generous. Balanced meal. I came late on the 1st day I got to Las Cruces. I went through numerous trash cans in the area, and I got myself a balanced meal, with desert! Water bottles can be filled from 3 outdoor deep sinks. Several portable restrooms are in the area.
Took my daughter down with me to volunteer some time on Thanksgiving day. Very clean, organized, other volunteers were great to work with and the food was very good. They seem to care about what they are doing.
In my opinion the Management and Staff of the food distribution aspect are very excellent indeed. The overall \campus\ (especially since the addition of the \Community of Hope\ years ago) is a great example of Divine Racketeering and Soylent Green/Monsters Inc. BUT FAR MORE HELLISH overall milieu.
