The hall is pretty good. The only problem is that it is very old. It eas built on 1962 so the materials are very old. If you use Freedom Mobile or any othe rbudget carrierx you won't get signal in the building since the signal doesn't pass through old buildings. Moreover, rooms are not sound proof so you can hear the loud music played in another room in your floor. Each flior has 3 wings, usually 2 for boys and one for girls. Each floor also has a few Resident Assistants. They also come with free wifi and ethernet ports(depending on the number of students living there). They have shared bathroomswhich also makes your bathrooms activities longer. Overall, I would say that it is pretty stayable and not bad at all. You may feel it is horrible at the beginning but strust me, you would get used to it. The fees is about 8800(double room) for 8 months of stay (including lots of food throughout the day) for Forst Year Students of the University of Alberta only. Only the R.As are 2nd year students. For single room, it is about 11000. The dimensions of the room is given in the university website but it is definately not very small.
