I have worn spectacles since the age of four and have never had an eye examination that was as comprehensive and detailed as the one I recently received at Green & Elliott Optometrists. Their equipment is very sophisticated and the optometrist explained every procedure and finding to me in detail. They allow plenty of time for an eye examination and any questions that you may have. I was prescribed and made a new pair of varifocal spectacles. I choose my frame from a large selection, and they came back with beautifully thin and light lenses. These are the best lenses I have ever had and I can see really well them. I would strongly recommend Green & Elliott Optometrists to those seeking the highest level of eye care, professionalism and final product.

We had our eyes tested at Green and Elliott in Eastbourne recently and the level of professionalism and service was exemplary. Their equipment was up to date and the testing was very thorough. Everything was explained to us. The optometrist detected an eye condition in my husband’s eye that we did not know he had and this was dealt with very efficiently with referral to a consultant and probably saved his sight in that eye. With that level of service and professionalism, we would not go elsewhere now for our eye care and are prepared to pay knowing we are in excellent hands.

Wanted to use local optometrist for both my childrens glasses and have tolerated the older customer service assistants arrogant attitude, often verging on rude and snooty on a couple of occasions now, but today is the final straw. Previously when the glasses have quite literally fallen apart soon after purchase they couldn't have cared less just telling us to use the NHS repair vouchers and pay the charge even when it was clearly rubbish quality frames. One child needs a new prescription so I went past to order and being the times they are was informed at the door that I needed to make an appointment for today which is fine. I turn up today with both my children in tow to be told at the door that they need to wear masks. I pointed out that young children don't need to wear masks but after a bit of a discussion between the two staff they said they do. I pointed out that children don't need to wear masks to go in shops, they didn't even need masks to go their hospital eye appointment last week but after a quick discussion between them they tell me it is their policy. If you care going to impose your own policies above any beyond the already draconian guidelines set by government maybe it would be an idea to communicate that with your customers before they arrive at your door for their appointment. I will be finding an optometrist with a basic understanding of science and customer care for their glasses from now on.

I am so impressed with the care and attention by the staff here. I have a complex eye condition that has been thoroughly and successfully addressed. I have found all the personnel here, without exception, to be friendly, helpful and kind.
