Telemarketing is not a fun job, but...but, if you can become good at it, you have a future in sales, especially phone sales. I worked at DA back in 92-93 in Bloomington, IN as a part time/school job. I slowly became the best seller in a room of 50 people. It teaches you to be quick on your feet, how to transition from “no’s” which you’ll get a lot of, to getting more “yes’s” It teaches you to talk to absolute strangers as if you’ve known them forever...which is one of THE keys in making and sustaining sales...in ANY industry. I own a recruiting company now and it’s all because I learned phone sales (and something about myself) at Dial America.
