healthcare staff is compassionate and went above and beyond for me would have given it 5 stars but the secretary staff are not helpful at all and rude sometimes (i did meet one secretary who was happy and helpful)

The first doctor we worked with was lovely, but she left. The second doctor we worked with had an online/zoom appointment with my daughter, during which the doctor scheduled an in-person follow up. We later learned the appointment hadn’t actually been scheduled, and my daughter is leaving for college and can’t get an appointment, which is an issue for her prescription needs. I’ve spoken to office staff over the phone on multiple occasions over the past year. Without fail they have been dismissive and rude, fail to return calls, decidedly NOT helpful. We are done with this group. Please hire new office staff who aren’t condescending and impatient. You treat people like irritating customers rather than human beings with legitimate needs.

After an office visit (February 2020) with Dr. Melfi, I was charged an additional 100 out-of-pocket for him to spend five minutes looking at my CGM data (in addition to my co-pay and standard office visit charges). I was never informed at the time of my visit that this “service” would be billed separately; historically, this review was ALWAYS included in my co-pay and covered office charge. I contacted office staff (Diane O’Keefe) to ask why I was never informed, and my emails were ignored. Atlantic Health corporate also refused to provide any remediation, with corporate compliance officer Cindy Hartmann in essence admitting on a recorded phone conversation that Atlantic Health physicians can charge patients for services without telling them.

Unfortunately, the office staff is miserable. I tried to make an appointment to get second opinion for my son. Called 7 times, still no appointment. I don't think they are interested getting new patients.
