Visiting with friends, there was so much to chose from. I asked for a starter as my starter and also as my main course which was accommodated well. Just be prepared to wrap up if you are outside but dont let that put you off. The County Style Oysters were delicious, such a treat! Followed by the scallops which were well cooked and so well presented. The synergy with Billy Winters was delightful and we couldn't resist a bottle; the Viognier I had was yummy too! I cant wait to visit again.

We inquired if they had a booking, but they informed us they were booked 8 days ahead, so asked if they ever got cancellations and they did and took my number, to our great delight we got a call next morning and took our booking for lunchtime that day. We were even more fortunate to get the half overturned boat table, so protected from the breeze. The staff were charming, they didn't mind the children from various families playing near the oyster tanks and you can walk over to see most recently farmed awaiting process. Last but not least, the food was well worth the extra splash out, presentation was excellent and I cannot recommend them enough.
We always make a detour to the Crab House Cafe when we go on our Summer hols to Dorset. The crab is fresh, sweet and deliciously messy! The oysters are home grown and last time we watched them clean the catch. The wine list is good with plenty of good value options, we always have a lovely bottle of Torraine with our long, lazy lunches! We missed out this last summer but hopefully summer 2021 everything will be getting back to normal again!
We had a great experience at the Crab House Café. Everything on the menu looked delicious but we wanted to try oysters, crab and lobster and we have not been disappointed! We were happy with the wine and sorbet as well. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very attentive (even provided us with an umbrella to avoid sunburnt). We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Weymouth!
I love the crab house cafe. The food is as good as you would get anywhere (top London seafood restaurants.) I prefer the food to Rick Steins for instance. It's good value for money. The cafe itself is casual but charming. Brilliant service and fast! The only thing I would say is the outdoors could.do with a little more attention (gardening etc.)
